Bicycling around Sagaponack in the 1990s the vision of the hundreds of acres of potato fields struck me as threatened . How long would this last? Later I wove a 6' tapestry of the farms bordering the Atlantic Ocean.

This tree at the edge of the field fascinated me, I did a sketch . Later the sketch was the basis for a print, and in 2024 the print was basis for this drawing over acrylic capturing the Atlantic breeze as it flows around the tree.. In 2025 it became a tapestry. Now with all the development it is hard to find the tree.
