The Co-Founders
The Hamptons Juried Art Exhibition was founded by Jennifer Soccorsi and Kurt Giehl out of a shared passion for art and a deep appreciation for the extraordinary creative talent found throughout the East End.
Their goal is to provide artists with a meaningful platform to showcase their work, gain recognition, and connect with a broader audience. By bringing together artists and a distinguished panel of jurors, Hamptons Juried seeks to celebrate artistic excellence and strengthen the vibrant creative community that makes the East End unique.
Jennifer Soccorsi
Jennifer is a self-taught, contemporary still life painter with work held in private collections in the US and abroad. Her paintings are drawn from the color and energy of the natural world. A Reiki-attuned artist, Jennifer imbues this healing life-force energy into her work, so that those who engage with her painting may experience it as well. Jennifer studied art and art history at Wells College in Aurora, New York and in 2022 left a 34 year career in healthcare and moved to Sag Harbor to pursue painting full time.
Kurt Giehl
Kurt Giehl is an East Hampton–based artist whose abstract oil paintings are inspired by the light, landscape, and waters of Long Island’s East End. After 23 years on Wall Street, he left finance to pursue art full time. His seascapes, informed by fishing trips across the North and South Forks, explore the subtle meeting of air, land, and water while capturing a distinct mood and sense of place. His dimensional Block Series uses hundreds of angular forms to create the illusion of movement as light and perspective shift. Giehl also works as an art consultant, helping clients build collections focused on East End artists.

The Hamptons Juried Art Exhibition was created to celebrate the exceptional artistic talent of the East End through a professionally juried exhibition that brings together artists, curators, collectors, and the broader creative community.
Unlike open-call exhibitions focused solely on participation, Hamptons Juried emphasizes thoughtful selection, artistic excellence, and meaningful recognition. Each submitted work is reviewed by a distinguished panel of jurors with experience across fine art, galleries, curation, design, and the broader visual arts.
Our mission is to provide artists with more than an exhibition opportunity—we aim to create a platform for discovery, connection, and celebration while honoring the unique creative spirit of the Hamptons and the East End.
