For over thirty years, my home on Montauk’s Fort Pond Bay has anchored my creative life. Although I studied painting in my youth, I pivoted to a global health medical career in my mid-twenties. Throughout decades of international travel, I continued to paint, drawing constant inspiration from the diverse light and landscapes I encountered around the world. As I wound down my medical career, I fully re-engaged with my artistic practice, returning to the place that has always served as my primary muse: the East End.

My work centers on simple compositions that allow space to explore and celebrate an eccentric use of color—capturing the subtle, surprising hues revealed only to those who look closely at the east end environment. Working plein air in pastel and oils, all three submitted pieces reflect local scenes, created directly in response to the unique atmosphere and shifting light of the coastal landscape.

About the Work

For over thirty years, Montauk’s Fort Pond Bay has anchored Pollack's creative life. Following a global health career, she returned fully to painting, inspired by worldwide landscapes and the East End's light. Working in pastel, oils, tempera and watercolor, her art has earned a first-place award at the Montauk Art Fair on the Green, a feature on Dan’s Papers, and domestic and international sales. This past August she was selected for a solo show in Montauk NY, and currently is exhibiting at the William Ris Gallery in Jamesport NY.
