When I witness the rhythm of nature, the fluid dance of trees with the sky, each other and their shadows below, I have to join with my brush to experience the movement with my whole being.
About the Work
Carole lives on Long Island’s North Fork, an endless source of inspiration for her work.
The desire to paint has always burned in her soul. Fifteen years ago, she finally picked up a paintbrush at a plein air workshop at Weir Farm, where she embraced J. Alden Weir’s motto: “Go out and paint with a stick.” This spirit of spontaneity and freedom is reflected in her work through her expressive use of color, intuitive approach to form, and openness to discovery.
