Like a previous work this piece uses a reproduction of a 19th century east end painter. What is most apparent in this work is that in the expansion of time from the 19th to 21st century is that our perception of nature is abstracted, yet once again because the quality of of light is consistent we are able to experience this altered perception of nature and the evolution of of painting from past to present. A detailed drop of water becomes a sample of refracted light and a local landscape is transformed into an abstract linear tornado funnel!
