People are small in relation to the world at large. There is a collective understanding on the shores of Long Island, that the beach and ocean is the reason for being there. I spent my summers growing up on the shores of Lake Erie in Canada where my father also spent his childhood. The beach was our meeting place. We roamed outside from morning into the night. I find it funny now, all the people holding up phones when nature shows it’s thrill and differentiates the visitors from the residents. Coming from a background in professional theater, film, and television, I like to work with psychological narratives, spectacle, relationships—lights, camera, action!
